Zirconium oxide high-performance ceramic materials combine aesthetics with biocompatibility, fracture toughness and rigidity in a new way. Its translucence which is very similar to that of natural teeth also makes zirconium oxide ceramic implants ideally suited as the dental replacement material of the future.

Find out more here about the properties of our ceramic materials.

Aesthetics play a crucial role in dental technology. Older patients often suffer from receding gums, added to which the bone ridge recedes to reveal a full view of dark, metallic metal implants. Then there are also incompatibility issues with metals or their alloys. As a result, more and more people harbour the desire to have metal-free treatment for their mouths.

Zirconium oxide ceramic implants fit the bill perfectly. They are:

Metal-free.
Implant drills, implants, superstructures and the entire prosthetic treatment can be ceramic.

Allergy-free.
Zirconium oxide has been established for years as an implant material for hip replacements. The human body can easily support zirconium oxide.

Aesthetic.
The fact that zirconium oxide material is white makes it appealing externally for the front dental area. The dark gleam found with metal implants is therefore quite outdated.

Gingivial-friendly.
To manufacture implants, abutments and accessories, maxon dental uses TZP-A (yttrium oxide part-stabilised zirconium oxide), the composition of which is in accordance with ISO 13356. TZP-A has a WAK of approx. 10 x 10 -6 K-1 and can be veneered with standard veneer ceramics for full ceramics. Please note the manufacturer's special instructions for use.

Other raw materials are possible on request.
